Volunteer Work at Marietta Center for Nursing 🥰

Updated: Sep 18, 2025

Smiling seniors and Alex enjoying a moment

Our team had the honor of bringing joy and hope to the residents of the Marietta Center for Nursing and Healing, located in the city of Marietta, Georgia. This facility, with 154 beds, offers short-term rehabilitation services and long-term care, serving patients through Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Although it is a large facility with private management focused on rehabilitation and assistance, the hospital environment can often be challenging for long-term residents. That is why our volunteer work, inspired by the “Doctors of Joy”, sought to go beyond clinical care: our goal was to provide moments of lightness, smiles, and human connection.

During the visit, we interacted with patients, families, and staff, sharing music, conversations, and small playful performances that helped brighten the day for everyone present. This experience reinforced the importance of holistic care, which involves not only the body but also the mind and the heart.

This action was an initiative by Márcio Oliveira, who has a long history of volunteering for the elderly. Our congratulations for yet another gesture of love and commitment to life.
