- 01From an early age, Alex understood that events are more than just gatherings—they are opportunities to connect people, share knowledge, and inspire change. He began organizing cultural events, university parties, and live shows in São Paulo, eventually evolving into networking events and environments that foster collective growth.
- 02In pursuit of personal and professional growth, he moved to Japan with the goal of investing in projects in Brazil. Nearly a decade-long experience broadened his perspective on education, discipline, and social impact. He participated in TV programs, hosted the show “A Hora da Promoção” on IPCTV, interviewed artists, and spoke at events for the Brazilian community.
- 03In 2010, he returned to Brazil, completing his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Communication, enhancing his strategic leadership skills.
- 04I first dreamed about a career in dentistry around the age of 16. My professional journey formally began when I became a scholarship student at SENAC Tiradentes in São Paulo, an opportunity that briefly opened doors for me to pursue my passion for oral health. Just two months into the course, I was hired by a dental clinic in São Paulo, gaining hands-on experience in clinical procedures and dental implants. Later, in January 2018, I moved to Brasília and joined one of the city’s top dental implant clinics. These experiences consolidated my professional foundation and provided a deep understanding of high-quality patient care, ethics, and clinical empathy. Beyond direct clinical practice, I applied my background in event planning and communication to develop educational initiatives in dentistry, organizing events such as Coffee Break das Mulheres Super Poderosas and the Global Business Forum. Together with my wife, I also founded Apsivida Psicologia Integrada, combining clinical services with social responsibility, sustainability practices, and community projects. To improve healthcare management and innovation, I developed the Apsivida Integrated System and completed an Executive MBA in Clinic and Hospital Management, acquiring strategic skills to understand healthcare as a complex, evolving ecosystem. In 2025, I completed my Dental Assistant certification in the United States, further strengthening my clinical expertise and broadening my international perspective. Throughout this journey, I have been guided by continuous learning, dedication, and gratitude for every opportunity and person who supported me. My goal remains to integrate clinical excellence, social impact, and innovative healthcare management, contributing meaningfully to dentistry and the well-being of people. Building upon this lifelong dedication, the year 2026 marked a decisive chapter in consolidating my academic and professional journey in the United States as part of my ultimate path in dentistry. To structure my path toward the field of Dental Hygiene, I achieved two fundamental milestones: earning my GED diploma (High School Equivalency) through the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and beginning a specialized Workforce training at Georgia State University (GSU). These achievements go far beyond technical and academic growth; they represent the essential foundation for building my future. This integrated learning experience was designed to expand my capacity to deliver excellence tomorrow, specifically by elevating the quality of direct patient care through humanized, safe practices, and by strengthening my capacity for cooperation and leadership in teamwork within the dynamic American healthcare system. Securing this solid foundation proves that time and age are not limits when there is clarity of purpose. Investing in my development today reflects my commitment to becoming a more complete dental professional, fully prepared to care for people, work effectively in teams, and lead with empathy and cooperation.
- 05Volunteering holds a profound meaning in my life because I have experienced firsthand the impact that an opportunity can have on someone. I am the result of a life-changing opportunity: I became a scholarship student at SENAC Tiradentes in São Paulo, in the Oral Health Technician program, thanks to an initiative that offered scholarships specifically to low-income students. This chance transformed my life, opened doors that once seemed unreachable, and allowed me to pursue my dream of a career in dentistry. Since then, I have carried with me the understanding that supporting others is more than helping — it is creating the conditions for them to develop, grow, and transform their lives. This is why volunteering is so close to my heart. It allows me to give back the helping hand I once received and offer opportunities, learning, and hope to others, without judgment. Volunteering is not only a social action; it is also a powerful tool for education and personal growth. Through volunteer work, one can develop both technical and socio-emotional skills, strengthen empathy, ethics, and cultural competence, and promote equity in healthcare. My experience has shown me that helping others is simultaneously a way to learn, grow, and create real impact in society. 🔥🥰 For those interested in learning more about my reflections and experiences, I have written two books (Amazon): Awakening The Millionaire Mind: Purposes Above Profit Project and Event Management in Healthcare: Leadership, Volunteer and Social Impact for Dental Assistants and Hygienists 🔥🥰 Additionally, I published the article: Empowering Dental Assistants Through Volunteering: Building Culturally Competent Care for America's Vulnerable Populations (GOMES, A., 2025) These works explore how volunteering can be used as a tool for social and educational transformation, integrating technical learning, personal development, and community impact. In summary, for me, volunteering represents what someone once did for me: an opportunity for transformation, inclusion, and hope, and a way to contribute to a fairer and more humane world.
- 06Combining his experience in events and dentistry, he created initiatives such as Coffee Break das Mulheres Super Poderosas and the Global Business Forum, promoting education and professional networking in the dental field.
- 07In 2018–2019, together with his wife, Alex founded Apsivida Psicologia Integrada, creating a welcoming space to support people’s mental health with high-quality services, social responsibility, and sustainability, fully aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Although not directly related to clinical dental care, the initiative emerged from a strong and recurring demand to care for people’s mental well-being. Alex personally led the establishment of the center, overseeing all projects and ensuring the highest standards of care and professionalism. Since its inception, Apsivida Psicologia Integrada has conducted thousands of appointments, ranging from private consultations and insurance-covered services to volunteer activities in public squares and bus stations. Under Alex’s guidance, each project and session represents an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, and providing mental health care has become a true passion for the team. The journey continues to inspire, demonstrating the power of leadership, empathy, and social impact.
- 08He developed initiatives such as “Todos Pela Vida,” menstrual dignity campaigns, food distribution, and support for collaborators, including psychologists and health technicians. He collaborated with institutions like Sesc and the Sabin Group and participated in public health campaigns.
- 09Alex created the Apsivida Integrated System, a software designed to optimize management for small healthcare clinics, which saved hundreds of thousands of reais during its implementation period. To further strengthen his strategic vision in healthcare, he also completed an Executive MBA in Clinic and Hospital Management, combining practical innovation with advanced management expertise.
