Volunteer for the Free Mobile Dental Clinics in Georgia!

Caring for oral health goes far beyond treating teeth; it is about restoring self-esteem, relieving pain, and extending a helping hand to those who need it most. In partnership with the Baptist Mobile Health Ministry (BMHM) and local churches, we are proud to announce two incredible community service opportunities coming up in the next few months.
Whether you are a healthcare professional or simply want to help your neighbors with a welcoming smile, there is a place for you on our team!
🚌 What are the Volunteer Mobile Clinics?
Using state-of-the-art mobile units equipped with three dental chairs, digital X-ray machines, and advanced steam sterilization systems, this project provides completely free dental care to uninsured adult patients across Georgia. The clinics focus on immediate pain relief and addressing the most urgent needs, specifically performing cleanings, extractions, and fillings.
We have two major events scheduled for 2026. Check out the dates and locations below:
📍 Event 1: Stone Mountain (Near Clarkston, GA)
A wonderful opportunity to serve a diverse, international community.
When: Thursday to Saturday, July 9–11, 2026.
Where: Indian Creek Baptist Church, in association with Dunwoody Baptist Church.
Address: 3901 Rockbridge Rd, SW, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.
📍 Event 2: Atlanta (Dunwoody Glen Apartments)
A specialized outreach event primarily serving the local Hispanic community.
When: Thursday to Saturday, October 1–3, 2026.
Where: Spring of Peace Atlanta, in association with Dunwoody Baptist Church.

🤝 Who Can Volunteer? (We Have Roles for Everyone!)
No matter your background or level of experience, your contribution is vital to keeping these clinics running efficiently.
1. Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Assistants
Whether you are actively practicing, retired, or licensed out-of-state, your clinical skills are the heart of this outreach.
Professional Benefits: All malpractice insurance is fully covered by the State of Georgia Department of Health under the State Volunteer Health Care Program. Additionally, Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are provided to report your hours served.
2. Nurses (R.N.s)
We need nurses on-site during the entire clinic to take blood pressure, review medical histories, and assist in completing vital medical records before patients receive treatment.
3. Translators (Especially Spanish)
Because many of the patients belong to international or Hispanic communities, translators are essential to help bridge the language gap, handle registrations, and explain post-operative instructions.
4. General Volunteers (No Healthcare Experience Needed)
All you need is a friendly smile and a willing heart! General volunteers are needed to help with:
Patient registration and intake.
Escorting patients throughout their visit to the mobile unit.
Distributing post-op care instructions.
🕒 Shifts and Volunteer Comfort
We understand your schedule may be busy, which is why you do not have to commit to all three full days. You are welcome to sign up for just a morning or afternoon shift. To show our appreciation, meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner depending on the shift) will be provided on-site for all volunteers.
