Connecting Hearts and Healthcare

They often say that healthcare is built on technique, science, and protocols. That is certainly true. However, throughout my journey, I have discovered that science is merely the tool, while the true driving force behind it all is love.

When I delved into Hospital Administration and deepened my knowledge through qualifications with UNA-SUS, studying Clinical Management and Technology Incorporation Processes at UFCSPA (Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre), Healthcare Planning at Fiocruz MS, and Digital Health Governance at UFG (Federal University of Goiás), it was not out of a fascination with numbers, but out of love for human dignity. I realized that organizing workflows, optimizing processes, and leading teams efficiently are the subtlest and deepest ways of saying to someone: "Your well-being matters to me."

It was this conviction that inspired me to create the Apsivida Health Management System. Developing a humanized high performance management system was never about writing lines of code or building clever spreadsheets. It was about buying time and inspiring people. It meant creating time for bureaucracy to give way to listening, allowing healthcare professionals to look patients in the eye and practice genuine empathy.

This philosophy came to life at ApsiVida Integrated Psychology in Brasília. Seeing our physical clinical space welcome patients with excellence and receiving a perfect 5.0-star rating across 329 Google reviews proved that technology, when driven by love and high performance, has the power to heal and comfort even before a diagnosis is made.
Today, as I walk toward my degree in Dentistry, my purpose gains a new dimension, yet its essence remains untouched. I want to transform the patient experience from the very first click in the system to the final touch of treatment. I want my team to feel proud to belong to something greater, and I want every person who sits in my dental chair to feel that their pain was embraced, their anxiety was respected, and their self-esteem was valued.
At the end of the day, management, universities, software systems, and technical skills are just bridges. The ultimate destination is, and always will be, the patient's transformed life. After all, caring for others is not just my profession; it is my life's purpose.
As I take this next step in my journey here in the United States, I invite you to follow along as we continue to grow, innovate, and redefine what humanized healthcare means on a global scale. Join me in this new chapter!
